Summary: I booked this place wanting a spot close to the river and golf course. It provided both as expected. We spent two days enjoying the private river access with floats and kayaks provided. Out dog loved fetching sticks out of the river. My sister who has some mobility issues found the uneven terrain on the trail to the river a bit challenging. It is also a heart pounder getting back up. (whew).The space was nice and everything we needed was available. We used the kitchen and BBQ every night. We ended up not using the treehouse because of my sisters mobility issues with the stairs. It is a lovely option though. I loved the location just enough east of Brookings to get the warmer and sunnier weather than directly on the coast. I got a slight sunburn from spending time on the river. There are two dogs on the property. Murphy is the more social dog and he will greet you every chance he can. You must appreciate and like dogs if you choose to stay here as they comes with the package. The property is very close to the main house where the host lives. She is responsive to needs or requests although not intrusive. We asked for decaf coffee one evening and she picked some of for us to have the next day. Overall the property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We felt very safe staying there as we were three ladies and a dog. Exactly what we needed for a three night get-away.

Summary: We spent a week relaxing and exploring the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast while staying at this cozy cabin. The host was very friendly and accommodating. This was a great home base as we visited so many nearby State and National Parks. The coastline is magnificent and the local recreation areas offer beautiful forests filled with Redwoods, lovely rivers, entrancing waterfalls. After our hikes, we could come back to the cabin and prepare good meals in the well-appointed kitchen. We loved the treehouse, too! It was a great vacation.

Summary: Loved the entire setup. Treehouse for the kids, Comfy accommodations for the big kids. Murphy, the super friendly greeter dog, the horse, llama and the river access ticked all the right boxes. Margo, the host, was super accommodating. My daughter and I were lucky enough to be invited for a carriage ride with Zoe. We grilled steaks and ate them outside on a beautiful evening. Unforgettable experience. Will definitely be back.

Summary: We had the best time in Brookings! The host was so friendly and so were her pups. Her land was absolutely beautiful and she thought of everything we could possibly need. It was like having a thoughtful neighbor. The house is so quaint with beautiful artistic touches that are all her own. The river is secluded, peaceful, and she provided both floats and kayaks. She also recommended the best spots in town to eat (and there are many). Five stars doesn't cover it.

Summary: Buddy and Margo were the list gracious, communicative, kind and wonderful hosts. We had the pleasure and fortune of extending our stay, because we loved it so much! The house is clean, has so many cooking utensils, making it easier to make your own meals, which we did, graciously using local salmon and cod from the harbor! The animals on the property are so welcoming and amazing-especially Murphy, who not only us, but our pups fell in love with! The property is pure magic, blending a rural atmosphere with the gorgeous river, and a short drive to the beach, with the most epic sea life! If you want to experience Valhalla, rent this place, as we plan to do year after year!

Summary: This VRBO is a wonderful alternative to typical accommodations in Brookings. Private river access on the peaceful Chetco River. A sweet cottage with a full, well appointed kitchen. You can prepare your own meals or take a 10 minute drive into town to a variety of restaurants and ocean beaches. Dog friendly. Very comfortable accommodations. Hostess is delightful. Quiet location. We slept well.

Summary: Great place to stay the hosts were on site. We made friends with them and their dog Murphy. Easy Check in and check out. They were very kind in taking us to the top of the river so we could kayak down. They never bothered us even though they were in close proximity. They gave us some tips on places to go and explore. It is a quiet location we never saw anyone else on the river. The river has a nice swimming hole that is about 100 yards away. Smaller kids could play there as well as older kids.

Summary: We had a great time. My son stayed in the treehouse and kayaked everyday. It’s a cozy tucked in little place in peaceful location. There's two loving dogs on site that made our stay even more enjoyable. We plan to come again next year. The hostess was five stars all the way.
